Overview

This training course, based on the well-established discipline of Human Factors Engineering (HFE), will introduce you to contemporary thinking related to Applied Human Factors and Safety in Design and illustrate, through numerous examples, why it’s critical to incorporate HFE into your own projects. Case studies will be used to provide delegates with a clear understanding of what can go wrong without HFE and that its inclusion leads to improved operational performance for the plants you’re using and designing. The course presenter will share detailed first-hand experience of how HFE was applied within real projects, to demonstrate the flexibility of the HFE processes to fit them to real work. To crystalize the learning experience, the training will include a number of workshop sessions where students (working in groups) will apply the theory to various case studies.
