SUMMARY:Geological Storage of CO2: Pick the Right Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nGeological Storage of CO2\, specifically the geological sequestration of CO2\, is increasingly recognized as a key strategy for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in the fight against global warming. In recent years\, the field has seen significant advancements. While many of the underlying technologies draw from oil and gas operations\, important distinctions exist that necessitate adapting the industry’s subsurface expertise to this new application. \nEvery CO2 storage project must answer four fundamental questions: \n\nWhere can CO2 be stored?\nHow much CO2 can be injected?\nCan it be stored safely?\nCan it be stored economically?\n\nThis CO2 geological storage training will explore these questions by leveraging established practices from the oil and gas sector and modifying traditional engineering design principles to meet the unique challenges of CO2 storage. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nGeologist\nReservoir engineer\nPetroleum engineer\nProduction engineer\nCompletion engineer\nBusiness development manager\nAsset manager\nProject manager\nGovernment official\nAny other professional involved or interested in CCS\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nCurrent state-of the-art of research in the field of CCS; screening of CCS projects worldwide\nFundamentals of CCS\, its interdisciplinary connections and the ability to appraise the role of CCS more widely within the energy transition\nAssessing the storage volume capacity by investigating the combined effects of capillary pressure\, salinity\, and in-situ thermodynamic conditions on CO2-brine/reservoir fluid-rock interactions in a saline aquifer or depleted reservoir\nAddressing the potential CO2 leakage paths; mitigating the risk by optimising the injection strategy and well completion\nQuantifying the uncertainty with different realisations to scale geological properties\, major faults\, and their sealing capacity as well as rock compressibility\nMonitoring the geological storage of CO2\, types of monitoring technologies and techniques\, monitoring strategies\, results\, and modelling temporal responses accordingly\nIdentifying the uncertainties affecting the future field behaviour and reduce their impact by optimising the field performance through a systematic application of integrated reservoir management and multidisciplinary technologies\nThe impact of CCS on the energy landscape\, society\, and climate as these topics govern the success of the research that is being carried out to solve one of greatest challenges of our generation\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n NameThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone(Required)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Country\n \n \n \n \n Phone Number\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Email(Required)\n \n Company(Required)Current Location(Required) \n \n \n AfghanistanÅland IslandsAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCôte d'IvoireCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRéunionRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTürkiyeTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUS Minor Outlying IslandsUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabwe\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number. SUMMARY:HAZOP Training: Hazard Studies and HAZOP Team Leader
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-day HAZOP training course. HAZOP and Hazard studies are an essential part of effective process safety management and HSE risk management. This course covers various process hazard assessment (PHA) techniques that team leaders must understand and be able to apply as well as facilitation skills required to manage successful hazard study meetings.\n \nThese techniques apply to all industry sectors including oil & gas\, petrochemicals\, chemicals\, pharmaceuticals\, and utilities\, both on new projects and on existing operating plants. Each hazard study technique aligns with a project stage and the needs of the level of project development at that stage.\n \nThe course consists of a series of modules that deal with the different hazard study stages and techniques and related process safety concepts and facilitation topics. SUMMARY:Human Factors Safety Critical Task Analysis (SCTA)
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nHuman Factors is recognized as a key topic for addressing safety in the oil\, gas\, onshore chemical plants\, pharmaceutical manufacturing and power generation sectors. \nWhat is Safety Critical Task Analysis (SCTA)?\nTask Analysis refers to the study of what actions and mental processes a person needs to perform to achieve a goal (Kirwan and Ainsworth). It often breaks down tasks into smaller subtasks to describe how they are done. \nSafety Critical Task Analysis (SCTA)\, on the other hand\, focuses on tasks that are critical to preventing major accidents. These are tasks where human factors can contribute to\, cause\, or fail to mitigate a major accident. \nDefinition of a Safety Critical Task (SCT):\nAn SCT is any task where human error could: \n\nCause or contribute to a major accident\nFail to prevent or mitigate one\n\nSCTs occur in various operational contexts\, such as: \n\nOperational tasks: e.g.\, loading liquid petroleum gas (LPG)\, sampling hazardous substances\, or isolating piping/equipment.\nPrevention and detection: e.g.\, testing safety systems or overriding safety functions.\nControl and mitigation: e.g.\, testing pressure safety valves or firewater pumps.\nEmergency response: e.g.\, deploying firefighting equipment or launching lifeboats.\n\nA “major accident” refers to an event like a large emission\, fire\, or explosion that poses serious risks to health or the environment\, as defined by the Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) Regulations. \nSCTA Process\n\nIdentify Safety Critical Tasks: Determine which tasks are critical to safety.\nPrioritize SCTs for Analysis: Decide which tasks need deeper analysis.\nAnalyze Human Actions: Study which human actions or inactions could lead to failure.\nInstall Layers of Protection: Develop safeguards to reduce human error or its consequences.\n\nSCTA is often conducted during project design or safety updates\, but it’s increasingly embedded into operations as an ongoing activity\, especially when tasks and equipment change. \nImportance of Embedding SCTA in Operations\nFor large-scale operations\, getting specialist input at every site may not be practical. Therefore\, companies are building SCTA knowledge within their workforce\, especially at the management and supervisory levels. This approach improves: \n\nRisk assessment quality\nIncident investigations\nImprovement suggestions\n\nSCTA also supports better maintenance and safety culture by giving personnel a structured way to examine their procedures. This can reveal key barriers to safety and the steps necessary to protect them. \nPerformance Influencing Factors (PIFs)\nA key element of SCTA is understanding PIFs. These factors can either strengthen or degrade safety barriers. Personnel who are familiar with these factors can: \n\nRecognize when safeguards are failing\nUnderstand how human performance impacts safety\n\nBenefits of SCTA\nA well-executed SCTA program can lead to: \n\nImproved major accident hazard (MAH) safety performance\nFewer environmental incidents\nReduced production downtime\nImproved quality\nCost reduction in major projects\n\nIn summary\, SCTA is a powerful tool for analyzing human factors in safety-critical tasks\, helping to prevent major accidents and improve safety performance across industries. \nWho Should Attend\n\nPlant Managers\nProcess Safety specialists\nProcess plant designers\nSupervisors\nSenior process operators\nProcedures and training developers\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nUnderstand Human Factors and SCTA\nUnderstand the different types of human error that need to be addressed within process safety\nBe able to use techniques such as Hierarchical Task Analysis\, Human Failure and Consequence SUMMARY:Heavy Lift Training: Heavy Transport and Lifting
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-day heavy lift training course held in Singapore\, Malaysia\, Perth\, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The efficient and safe execution of lifting and transporting objects that are heavy or awkward in size or shape involves specialized load handling equipment and various different modes of operation. These kinds of operations require a thorough understanding of the physics and laws of nature that contribute to the success of such activities. This heavy lift training is designed for personnel involved in specialized transportation and lifting from contract transport organizations and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to engineering companies and project owners in the oil and gas\, power generation and other plant-environment industries. \nCharacteristic for this industry is often the absence of standardization across multiple countries or companies. This leads to unique engineering and planning for each project\, a truly indispensable element in projects of this nature. The engineering principles of hydraulic platform trailers like self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs) are delved into along with a variety of other load handling equipment. Heavy lift\, jacking and skidding\, and load-out (roll-on/roll-off) project case studies are utilized for participants to gain a broad understanding of the art and science of specialized transport and SUMMARY:Human Factors Safety Critical Task Analysis (SCTA)
\nWho Should Attend\n\nPlant Managers\nProcess Safety specialists\nProcess plant designers\nSupervisors\nSenior process operators\nProcedures and training developers\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nUnderstand Human Factors and SCTA\nUnderstand the different types of human error that need to be addressed within process safety\nBe able to use techniques such as Hierarchical Task Analysis\, Human Failure and Consequence analyses\, and Performance Influencing Factors evaluations  for simple tasks\nBe able to develop risk-informed procedures and competency standards based on the results of the SCTA work\nStart to think about developing policies and a programme of work using SCTA to address human factors in process safety\, with particular emphasis on satisfying regulatory requirements such as COMAH\n\nEnquiry
