SUMMARY:Geophysical Data Management For Non-Geophysicist
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nExploration and Production (E&P) companies realize the importance of good technical data and the role which it plays in the exploration success. Geoscientists and engineers focus on maximizing hydrocarbon extraction by understanding and exploiting field geological and formations data. To achieve their challenging goals\, they use sophisticated software to perform virtual field characterizations and analysis which generates terabytes of valuable intellectual data and information. This is one example\, and there are many more by which new data is being generated and stored each day. Companies are investing into hardware and software to tackle these problems but lack the basic guide lines or policies to manage the growing data volume. This has led to even more problems and waste of valuable resources and funds. One of the key requirements for E&P companies is to have a well-defined data management strategy. \nWho Should Attend\n\nUpstream personnel\nIT\nAdmin\nHR\nNon-geoscience personnel\n* There are no technical prerequisites for this course besides having more than 3 years’ work experience and a higher education diploma\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nWhat is Data Management life cycle\, why it is important\, understanding Data Acquisitions in terms of\nexploration\, production and life of field\nThe core Geophysical data types in the E&P industry and valuable best practices for them\nCommon seismic activity using Gulf of Mexico as a case study\nThe importance of frequency in data and learning about spectral analysis\nUsing Data analytics (big data\, the cloud\, Business Intelligence maturity modelling) in the Oil and Gas industry\nGeophysical limitation and challenges\nBeing familiar with industry data standards\n\nEnquiry form\n\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:Advanced Basin Analysis Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis advanced case-study led course is designed to teach participants a process for rapidly screening frontier basin opportunities with minimal data\, with case studies from across the world\, including many African\, Atlantic and South-East Asian Basins. \nThree day modules cover the essentials of basin classification and tectonostratigraphic analysis\, the prediction of petroleum system elements (reservoir\, source rocks and seals) and the presentation of a workflow with which the prospects of a basin can be rapidly assessed. The most recent world’s frontier discoveries are reviewed in their basin context and key elements are recognised that will identify the frontier discoveries of the future. \nThe lectures are interspersed with numerous case studies analysing the regional controls on the main global discoveries of the last decade\, some of which will be run as group discussions and guided exercises. This will expand the participants’ knowledge bank of key analogues that can be used to identify and risk new plays in their own regions of interest. \nWho Should Attend\nGeologists and geophysicists or exploration managers that are involved in the assessment of new exploration opportunities and new country entry\, particularly if working on rifts and or passive margins. The course contents are on intermediate/advanced level and a basic knowledge of petroleum geology and in particular of petroleum systems is required. \nPotential attendees include: \n\nBasin Management & Analyst\nExploration & Development Department\nGeologists\nGeophysicists\nGeoscientists\nPetroleum Engineers\nReservoir Engineers\nDrilling Engineers\nRisk Management\nResearch & Development\nProject Support & Services\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nParticipants will learn how to rapidly differentiate prospective from non-prospective basins using series of key\ntools and techniques\, even in situations where they have limited data and knowledge.\nParticipants will learn how to rapidly compile many key diagrams within a workflow that synthesises the key tectonic and other basin-wide controls on prospectivity.\nThey will learn how to research and apply appropriate analogue basins to their individual areas of interest from around the world\nThey will acquire check-lists of the parameters which most frequently cause basins to succeed or fail\, that they will be able to use in data rooms and in the assessment of licence or farming blocks.\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA
