SUMMARY:PSM Leadership Training: Leadership with Process Safety
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 2-days PSM leadership training. Many major incidents have technical failure as an immediate cause. Process safety leaders are capable of diving deeper and finding the organisational\, culture and leadership decision-making that contributed to the incident. \nAnalysis of the causes all major incidents has revealed that technical and non-technical factors are interlayered\, complex and\, leading up to the accident\, were unpredictable by senior decision makers. \nThis PSM leadership training course introduces the PSM Process Safety Management architecture as an analytical tool focused on preventing releases of any substance i.e.: written programs\, roles and responsibilities\, implementation including training\, record keeping\, and auditing). The course will illustrate all the key elements of a comprehensive PSM program and how the overall architec-ture applies to each. Also apply these key elements for integration with existing and sometimes overlapping current company policies (such as quality and reliability programs). The first onshore PSM regulations were developed in response to a number of serious accidents that occurred in the 1980s\, such as the release of toxic vapors at Bhopal\, India that killed thousands. In the United States the federal regulation29 CFR 1910.119 Process safety the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) published management of highly hazardous chemicals in the year 1992. SUMMARY:Process Safety Competence Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 4-day process safety training course. Why is Process Safety Competence (PSC) important? Many incidents happen because necessary knowledge or competence is not available at the right time in the right place. PSC often also has a role in ensuring that the correct actions are taken when an incident occurs and may be critical to reducing the impact of the event and preventing escalation. \nA brief literature search on some of the more important process industry incidents quickly found links to PSC in every case: \n\nFlixborough (UK\, 1974): Explosion due to release from a temporary bypass assembly of inadequate design operated by insufficiently competent people (Health and Safety Executive 1975)\nPiper Alpha (UK\, 1988): the public enquiry into the Piper Alpha explosion in 1998 concluded that the operating company failed to ensure that a key supervisor was sufficiently competent in the operation of the PTW [Permit to Work] system\nLongford (Australia\, 1998): Failure to identify hazards and properly train operators. Insufficient understanding led to a critical incorrect valve operation (Hopkins 2000)\nBP Texas City (USA\, 2005): 1.5 Key Technical Findings: …..A lack of supervisory oversight and technically trained personnel during the start-up\, an especially hazardous period…. The operator training program was inadequate\nBuncefield (UK\, 2005): There should be a clear understanding of major accident risks and the safety critical equipment and systems designed to control them……At the core of managing a major hazard business should be clear and positive process safety leadership with board-level involvement and competence to ensure that major hazard risks are being properly managed\n\nProcess safety competence plays a vital role in preventing or mitigating process incidents: \n\nCompetent people are less likely to initiate situations that could lead to an incident\nCompetent people can detect the early signs that an incident is possible and prevent it from occurring\nCompetent people can mitigate the impact of an event to reduce the potential for harm\n\nWho Should Attend\n\nHSE Engineers/Managers\nProcess Safety Engineers/Managers\nTechnical Safety Specialists\nTechnicians\nTechnology Managers\nOperational Leaders and Inspectors\nManagers responsible for the safe operation of facilities\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nEvaluate and optimize your Process Safety Management System (PSM)\nApply best practices for all essential elements\nRecognize Process Hazards and reduce the Risk to acceptable levels with techniques like HAZOP & LOPA\nUnderstand the Legislation on Hazardous Chemicals and assure Compliance\nCreate the desired Safety Culture in your organization.\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - SUMMARY:Emergency Response and Crisis Management
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis emergency response training provides a comprehensive overview of the emergency response requirement for downstream oil & gas. The course is highly interactive and requires full participation of all students. The course provides a detailed insight into the practical realities of emergency response in downstream oil & gas while being presented by a very experienced senior emergency responder with extensive practical international experience. \n\nThe emergency response training provides an overview of a few major incidents followed by a discussion to emphasize the importance of emergency preparedness and emergency response planning. Emergency management basics such as emergency preparedness\, response and recovery\, and management phases are also included to ensure a strong foundation for the program. Trainees will also have a practical lesson in anticipation and assessment after learning about accident scenarios through a video and class discussion followed by constructing their own assessment. Prevention and mitigation consist of learning about the regulations for COMAH as well as ALARP principles in order to mitigate risk in the installations. \n\nTechnical and safety studies would educate attendees about the physical effects modelling which will enlighten them about escape and rescue assessments. Understanding the difference as well as the importance between plans\, procedures and planning cycles falls under emergency preparations. It is imperative to understand the emergency response and crisis management command structure\, roles and responsibilities and chain of command in any response plan for it to run smoothly. There will be a drill and exercise to show that the theoretical knowledge gained from the course is of practical use as well. This will test human factors\, emergency equipment\, mutual aid and the effectiveness of emergency control centers. \n\nThe emergency response training also caters to the geography of incidents\, damage to infrastructure\, media statement\, response to wide-area incidents and modifying existing plans to manage incidents. Disaster risk management cycle\, recovery strategy\, deployment and social impacts of emergencies are part of the recovery process of the emergency response plans. \nWho Should Attend\n\nManagers\nSupervisors\nHSE professionals who may be required to develop emergency or crisis response plans or exercises\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nDefine the requirements and importance of emergency and crisis response management\n\nDiscuss aspects of integrated emergency management\n\nGenerate appropriate emergency and crisis response documentation\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number. SUMMARY:Gas Explosion Hazards\, Fire Detection and Protection Systems Design for Oil and Gas
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis gas explosion training course is designed to provide an insight into the major drivers into fire and explosion hazard risk\, and the various methods of preventing and mitigating such risk. The course will discuss quantitative consequence analysis\, such as vapor dispersion modelling\, vapor cloud explosion modelling\, fire modelling\, and presents the details necessary to perform such analyses. In addition\, it will focus on the fire and gas detection systems for offshore and onshore process areas\, and how such systems can be used to lower the overall explosion risk to facilities. \nThe gas explosion training course will demonstrate how performance based designs can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of a fire and gas detection system\, but will not provide comprehensive instruction on designing such systems.  \nWho Should Attend\nThis gas explosion training course will be of interest to safety engineers\, managers\, supervisors\, and other personnel involved in the design\, operation or modification of offshore oil and gas facilities (FLNGs\, platforms\, FPSOs\, etc.)\, as well as\, onshore processing facilities. The course also provides key factors\, tools and techniques in fire and gas system management in order to enhance the reliability and safety of your safety network. These factors and techniques will focus on their effect on performance based design. The course will provide case studies on how preventive and protective measures can reduce the fire and explosion risk at petrochemical facilities. One case study of interest will discuss the benefits gas detection optimization to not only enhance performance but minimize unwanted and costly false alarm shutdowns. \nKey Learning Objectives\n\nBe aware of offshore release and accident statistics and some important offshore and petrochemical accidents\n\nUnderstand the accident chain of events and important parameters affecting gas release and dispersion\n\nUnderstand the basics and important parameters governing vapor cloud explosions (VCEs)\n\nUnderstand and be aware of various preventive measures to reduce the occurrence of accidents and various mitigation and control techniques to reduce gas explosion consequences\n\nLearn about the various explosion modeling techniques that may be applied and understand the importance of using advance 3D modelling for fire and gas explosion analyses\n\nReview the fire and gas system design methods and guidelines that are currently available including their strengths and limitations\n\nUnderstand quantitative consequences analysis and how it is employed in performance-based fire and gas system engineering\n\nAnalyze the impact on overall risk of consequence scenarios and the beneficial effect of fire and gas systems using consequence integration\n\nUnderstand the impact of mitigating the consequences of fire and gas release events on the overall process plant risk and the difference between prevention and mitigation\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 -
