SUMMARY:Geological Storage of CO2: Pick the Right Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nGeological Storage of CO2\, specifically the geological sequestration of CO2\, is increasingly recognized as a key strategy for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in the fight against global warming. In recent years\, the field has seen significant advancements. While many of the underlying technologies draw from oil and gas operations\, important distinctions exist that necessitate adapting the industry’s subsurface expertise to this new application. \nEvery CO2 storage project must answer four fundamental questions: \n\nWhere can CO2 be stored?\nHow much CO2 can be injected?\nCan it be stored safely?\nCan it be stored economically?\n\nThis CO2 geological storage training will explore these questions by leveraging established practices from the oil and gas sector and modifying traditional engineering design principles to meet the unique challenges of CO2 storage. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nGeologist\nReservoir engineer\nPetroleum engineer\nProduction engineer\nCompletion engineer\nBusiness development manager\nAsset manager\nProject manager\nGovernment official\nAny other professional involved or interested in CCS\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nCurrent state-of the-art of research in the field of CCS; screening of CCS projects worldwide\nFundamentals of CCS\, its interdisciplinary connections and the ability to appraise the role of CCS more widely within the energy transition\nAssessing the storage volume capacity by investigating the combined effects of capillary pressure\, salinity\, and in-situ thermodynamic conditions on CO2-brine/reservoir fluid-rock interactions in a saline aquifer or depleted reservoir\nAddressing the potential CO2 leakage paths; SUMMARY:Human Factor Training: Integrating Human Factors into the Design and Operations Risk Framework
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-day face-to-face human factor training course. In order to integrate human factors into an effective framework for managing risk in hazardous industries\, companies need to address several key questions: \n\nHow do we build a sustainable operating culture to deliver consistent behaviours within our employees\, suppliers and contractors?\nWhat is required as regards demonstrating how human factors and the associated risks are delivered to the satisfaction of regulators who adopt a Safety Case regime?\nHow can we mitigate human error in design and operations\, by the application of best practice evaluation tools such as Safety Critical Task Analysis?\nHow can an organization build resilience to recover from a catastrophic event?\n\nParticipants will discover the real challenges that face the Executive Management team and their senior HSE design and operations’ professionals\, in building the organizational capabilities necessary to reduce the risk associated with human competence weaknesses to As Low as Is Reasonably Practicable\, ALARP. \nThe key industry sectors covered will be the upstream\, midstream and downstream oil\, gas\, petrochemicals and related business segments. However\, given the nature of major accidents\, the course is equally useful to senior professionals in the power\, nuclear\, railway and aviation industries. \nThe human factor training course will describe the best practices in the development of competency management systems and how management can identify the types of human error and pre-conditions that increase the likelihood of error occurrence. The human factor training will also cover several critical design and analysis tools that must be applied such that the ergonomic aspects of the human-machine interface are engineered to promote consistent safe behaviour. \nOrganisational cultural models and behaviours surveys will be described such that management may benchmark their business against the cultural maturity model. In addition\, the principle characteristics of what are termed High-Reliability Organisations\, HROs will be explored. Such HRO principles are applied in complex high hazard industries such as the military aviation and nuclear submarine sectors. \nA key aspect in promoting positive behaviours stems from the actions of leadership teams in the company and the best practice leadership approaches\, including the effective use of management site visits to reinforce the quality\, safety and reliability performance within their area of control will be explored. \nA further critical area to be covered will be the training of indigenous staff to operate high hazard facilities in developing countries\, which is critical to being awarded contracts and to continue to establish their business in e.g. Africa\, Asia and the Middle East. \nAt the end of this wide-ranging and human factor training\, participants will be able to re-assess their own companies’ strengths and weaknesses in developing the capabilities and behaviours needed to maximise profitability and safety\, within ever more complex technology and enhanced stakeholder expectations. \nWho Should Attend\nThe human factor training course is aimed at people who wish to attend the course and put into practice the key tools of managing human factors in their company. This may include: \n\nHuman Error Investigation Specialists\nHuman Factors Design Engineers\nCompetency and Training Managers\nHSE Managers\nProject Engineers\nReliability Engineer\nHSE Engineers\nHSE Coordinators\nMaintenance Managers\nProcess Safety Managers\nMechanical\, Process\, Instrument and Control Engineers\nManagers responsible for the safe operation of facilities\n\nThis human factor training is also aligned with Singapore Safety Case Regime requirements. SUMMARY:Hydrogen and Carbon Capture & Storage Technology Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nCarbon capture and storage (CSS) is seen by many as a necessary transition technology whilst the world builds out the renewable energy system. And this is not limited to power generation.\nToday\, more than 95% of the world’s hydrogen is made from fossil fuels (coal and natural gas)\, so CCS can play a significant role in reducing the CO2 emissions related to this production. With the hydrogen sector expected to grow exponentially across the globe in the coming years\, it has become a necessary innovation. \nFor example\, the United Kingdom (UK) recently set a target to produce five gigawatts of hydrogen by 2030\, representing a 40-fold increase from the current situation. This ambition is replicated worldwide where national hydrogen strategies\, often explicitly citing the need for decarbonising industrial sectors such as construction\, steel and cement\, have appeared regularly\nover the past year. \nThe journey to a new\, low-emission energy system will be challenging and require much innovation. This momentum towards netzero continues to build\, calling for many industrial sectors to find ways of decarbonising their operations. Hydrogen is likely to play a significant role\, especially in sectors where eliminating emissions is particularly difficult. Early engagement with those low- or zero-emission projects will enable fast movers to reap the maximum from the opportunity presented. \nThis hydrogen CCS training course aims to provide a practical guide to enable companies to make informed decisions and plans based on the real opportunities that are emerging as the global CCS sector develops. Delegates will be guided to where early opportunities are most likely to lie\, who is involved and how to get in front of them. \nWho Should Attend\n\nExisting energy companies particularly those who are already part of the engineering\, oil and gas\, steel\, construction and shipbuilding oil and gas supply chain and those looking to future-proof their capabilities\nThe CCS clusters who well-placed to drive the regional industries forward\, often including a significant hydrogen\ncomponent\nThose with steelmaking\, shipping\, construction and automotive interests\nCompanies seeking to enter the CCS sector and wider hydrogen value chain with its myriad opportunities in a market\nvalued in the billions of dollars\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nWhat is carbon capture and storage (CSS)?\nCarbon capture by emission sources and fundamental approaches: pre- and post-combustion\, oxyfuel\, and industrial processes\nOverview of current technologies applied (how to remove the CO2 from process streams\, solvents\, amines)\nEvaluation of technologies: techno-commercial (including licensors)\nCost structure\, learning curves: challenges and opportunities\nCCS business models\, CO2 pricing and negative emissions\nCCS projects: overview\, discussion and deep dives into case studies\nH+CCS and other paths in the energy transition\nPolicy and regulatory perspectives: global initiatives and national nuances\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - SUMMARY:Hydrogen Shipping
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThe hydrogen transportation sector is expected to grow significantly across the globe in the coming years. The EU\, for example\, represents a 40-fold increase within nine years for that sector. Pipelines are planned\, but shipping infrastructure will be vital for green hydrogen. The UK is looking to repurpose the infrastructure\, for offshore wind and use depleted gas and oil\nreservoirs to sequester CO2 captured from hydrogen produced in emerging energy clusters across the UK. \nThe journey to a renewable\, circular and low-carbon economy (facilitated by electrons\, hydrogen and other technologies)\, will be challenging. And the top priority will be to make sure it is implemented and delivered safely. \nHydrogen Shipping course details how global shipping and financial leaders can assist. Developers and stakeholders require their people and supply chain to possess the necessary awareness\, know-how\, skills and competencies to deliver shipping\, portage\, CCS and hydrogen projects safely\, on time and with the highest quality standards. \nThis hydrogen shipping training aims to enable companies and stakeholders to be aware of the fundamentals of shipping for hydrogen. What is it\, and what does it mean for the future? What decisions and plans are likely to be made based on the real opportunities that are emerging? Participants will be guided as to where early opportunities are most likely to lie\, who is involved and how to engage. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nExisting companies\, particularly those who are already part of the hydrogen or renewables supply chains and those looking to future-proof their capabilities\nProject developers seeking to decarbonise and source\nFinanciers and the construction industry\nOil and gas majors\nOEM’s and balance of plant organisations\n\nThis hydrogen shipping training course is also helpful for engineering companies\, those involved in storage compression equipment and shipping\, and those seeking to enter the energy arena with its myriad shipping opportunities in a market set for exponential growth. Taking this course will also benefit stakeholders from government\, finance and consenting and those\nwishing to understand the realities of CCS and hydrogen production. \nKey Learning Objectives\n\nLearn about technologies for developing hydrogen and green shipping\, the associated value chain\, and the role they play in achieving net zero\nUnderstand the practical risks and opportunities related to hydrogen and green shipping\nIdentify the challenges of shipping hydrogen\, ammonia\, and methanol\nRecognize the differing perspectives of investors\, operators\, customers\, and governments\nExplore the applications and commercial considerations for hydrogen in shipping\, vessels\, and ports\, alongside carbon capture\, and how they integrate into new mega projects.\nDiscover the characteristics that both broaden and constrain the commercial and technical links in the hydrogen shipping supply chain\nUnderstand the integration of vessels\, ports\, and shipping with hydrogen production and global distribution.\nLearn from real-world projects that integrate shipping and hydrogen.\nReview broader financial considerations in transportation.\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number. SUMMARY:Process Safety Leadership in High Hazard Facilities
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-days high hazard facilities training. The management of the risks associated with Health\, Safety and Environmental\, HSE threats to a business is becoming increasingly complex and as part of any credible global business\, needs to be managed in a consistent\, systematic manner. It is essential therefore that the leadership team develop the skills needed to influence both the “hearts and minds” of the workforce to deliver HSE management systems for occupational and process safety hazards that consistently ensure risks are controlled to As Low as Is Reasonably Practicable\, ALARP \nBy taking part in this innovative high hazard facilities training\, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of how the leadership team and their management deliver\, through their actions\, a world class performance in HSE. It is important to stress the word actions\, as opposed to simply updating company policies\, procedures or instructions to the workforce\, as being key to creating a best-in-class operational HSE culture. \nAdditionally\, participants will be required to both analyse the leading HSE risks to their company\, as well as being provided with the tools to enhance their organisation’s culture and the risk controls to ensure sustainable change. In particular\, participants will discover the real HSE challenges that face the Executive Management team and their sub-ordinate managers and staff within a global business when developing and operating high hazard facilities. The emphasis of the high hazard facilities training content and breakout sessions will focus on the oil\, gas\, petrochemicals industries\, but is also relevant for other industries\, where major accidents occur such as in the marine\, construction\, rail\, and power generation. \nWho Should Attend\n\nCorporate HSE Directors\, managers and advisors\nOperational HSE managers and advisors\nProcess safety managers and specialists\nAsset integrity managers and engineers\nQuality assurance managers and quality control inspectors\nMaintenance managers and engineers\nCorporate HSE audit Personnel\nPurchasers of HSE Support Services\nProject managers and engineers\nProject compliance engineers\nInsurance managers to the oil and gas industry\nRisk managers\nSpecialists in oil and gas finance\, due diligence\,\nMergers and acquisitions\nBusiness Owners\n\nKey Learning Objectives\nThe key workshop objectives are to provide the basis for the Client to apply best practices used by peer group global companies for maintaining consistent best-in-class HSE Leadership when developing and controlling occupational and major hazard HSE risks\, affecting their direct workforce and contractors\, specifically focused on: \n\nOverview of HSE Leadership principles\nHSE Culture development and enhancement\n“Heart versus the Mind” when changing workforce behaviour.\nHSE Competency management\nThe critical role of frontline supervision as leaders for change\nEvaluation of the degree of alignment in the leadership on HSE risks\nThe influence of people\, process and plant to HSE performance\nThe problems with using Key Performance Indicators to influence behaviour\nThe most and least effective communication methods for the Leadership to influence HSE behaviour\nChanging HSE behaviour after an incident has occurred – the “Just Culture” Model.\nNormalisation of deviations and organizational drift\nTransformational management of HSE\nMaintaining the ethics and business values to drive effective HSE Leadership\n\nThe detailed scope of the high hazard facilities training is described in the “Agenda” section\, covering 10 separate sessions\, including practical case studies to demonstrate the practical implementation issues. A specific session will be undertaken during the masterclass to assess how the leaders view the importance of HSE risks to their company and the degree of control they can exert to change these risks – the “Boston Square” methodology. \nA close-out session will be undertaken in order for the client to identify areas for improvement and to prioritise such actions as necessary to build a world class HSE framework. \nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number. SUMMARY:LOPA and SIL Determination
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-days LOPA and SIL training course. Layer of protection analysis (LOPA) is a semi-quantitative\, order of magnitude\, tool for analysing and assessing risk on a process plant used to evaluate the adequacy of existing or proposed controls (layers of protection) against known hazards to achieve tolerable risk criteria. The course covers the different LOPA methodology variations\, single cause\, multiple cause\, simple and complex applications. The most common use of the LOPA technique is for Safety Integrity Levels (SILs) be determined for Safety Instrumented Functions (SIFs) and this is covered in detail\, but non-SIF applications are also coved. \n\nThe LOPA and SIL training course will give you an understanding of the methodology\, application\, and limitations of LOPA. It will help you understand how to select and assess hazardous scenarios by applying the LOPA methodology\, and hv ow to interpret and apply the results including specifying the SIL of a SIF. The course references the CCPS books on LOPA and the latest international standard IEC 61511. At the end of this course the trainee will be able to be an active participant and contributor to LOPA and SIL determination studies.\n \nThe course consists of a series of modules that deal with the different technical aspects of LOPA. Presentations are interactive with video illustrations and case studies. Group exercises are used to enable attendees to put into practice what they have learnt during the lecture presentations. All the essential LOPA steps are practiced in exercises\, the main exercise takes a HAZOP worksheet and builds the LOPA from it.\n \nThe LOPA and SIL training course is intended to be an open course using generic examples and simple spreadsheets / calculations not tied to any proprietary software.
