SUMMARY:Process Safety Leadership in High Hazard Facilities
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-days high hazard facilities training. The management of the risks associated with Health\, Safety and Environmental\, HSE threats to a business is becoming increasingly complex and as part of any credible global business\, needs to be managed in a consistent\, systematic manner. It is essential therefore that the leadership team develop the skills needed to influence both the “hearts and minds” of the workforce to deliver HSE management systems for occupational and process safety hazards that consistently ensure risks are controlled to As Low as Is Reasonably Practicable\, ALARP \nBy taking part in this innovative high hazard facilities training\, participants will gain in-depth knowledge of how the leadership team and their management deliver\, through their actions\, a world class performance in HSE. It is important to stress the word actions\, as opposed to simply updating company policies\, procedures or instructions to the workforce\, as being key to creating a best-in-class operational HSE culture. \nAdditionally\, participants will be required to both analyse the leading HSE risks to their company\, as well as being provided with the tools to enhance their organisation’s culture and the risk controls to ensure sustainable change. In particular\, participants will discover the real HSE challenges that face the Executive Management team and their sub-ordinate managers and staff within a global business when developing and operating high hazard facilities. The emphasis of the high hazard facilities training content and breakout sessions will focus on the oil\, gas\, petrochemicals industries\, but is also relevant for other industries\, where major accidents occur such as in the marine\, construction\, rail\, and power generation. \nWho Should Attend\n\nCorporate HSE Directors\, managers and advisors\nOperational HSE managers and advisors\nProcess safety managers and specialists\nAsset integrity managers and engineers\nQuality assurance managers and quality control inspectors\nMaintenance managers and engineers\nCorporate HSE audit Personnel\nPurchasers of HSE Support Services\nProject managers and engineers\nProject compliance engineers\nInsurance managers to the oil and gas industry\nRisk managers\nSpecialists in oil and gas finance\, due diligence\,\nMergers and acquisitions\nBusiness Owners\n\nKey Learning Objectives\nThe key workshop objectives are to provide the basis for the Client to apply best practices used by peer group global companies for maintaining consistent best-in-class HSE Leadership when developing and controlling occupational and major hazard HSE risks\, affecting their direct workforce and contractors\, specifically focused on: \n\nOverview of HSE Leadership principles\nHSE Culture development and enhancement\n“Heart versus the Mind” when changing workforce behaviour.\nHSE Competency management\nThe critical role of frontline supervision as leaders for change\nEvaluation of the degree of alignment in the leadership on HSE risks\nThe influence of people\, process and plant to HSE performance\nThe problems with using Key Performance Indicators to influence behaviour\nThe most and least effective communication methods for the Leadership to influence HSE behaviour\nChanging HSE behaviour after an incident has occurred – the “Just Culture” Model.\nNormalisation of deviations and organizational drift\nTransformational management of HSE\nMaintaining the ethics and business values to drive effective HSE Leadership\n\nThe detailed scope of the high hazard facilities training is described in the “Agenda” section\, covering 10 separate sessions\, including practical case studies to demonstrate the practical implementation issues. A specific session will be undertaken during the masterclass to assess how the leaders view the importance of HSE risks to their company and the degree of control they can exert to change these risks – the “Boston Square” methodology. \nA close-out session will be undertaken in order for the client to identify areas for improvement and to prioritise such actions as necessary to build a world class HSE framework. \nEnquiry Form\n\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number. SUMMARY:Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis practical and highly-interactive CMRP training includes real-life case studies and exercises where participants will be engaged in a series of interactive small groups and class workshops. \nThe Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) program is the #1 leading credentialing program for certifying the knowledge\, skills and abilities of maintenance and reliability professionals. The CMRP program is certified by the Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP). \nExamining more than just textbook information\, the CMRP is a thorough examination of a broader scope of expertise measured against a universal standard. It was developed to assess professionals’ aptitude within the five (5) pillars of the Maintenance and Reliability Body of Knowledge: Business Management\, Equipment Reliability\, Manufacturing Process Reliability\, Organization and Leadership\, and Work Management. \nEvery organization has a process for handling and documenting maintenance issues. Some are as simple and informal as the user calls maintenance to come fix something. Others use high powered computerized maintenance management software (CMMS). \nSome organizations use formal planning and scheduling while others have the maintenance personnel plan and schedule their own work. Experience has shown that more informal and less planned and scheduled work is highly inefficient. On the other hand\, too much planning\, scheduling and documentation can also inefficiently use maintenance resources. The aim is to find the right balance of planning\, scheduling and documentation to maximize the use of maintenance resources. In addition\, one of the biggest challenges to adopting new processes is gaining acceptance at all levels in the organization. Management of change techniques is essential to a successful program. \nThis interactive CMRP training course is designed to provide the participants with the information needed to understand their own maintenance management process as well as make improvements to their processes\, so they can more effectively and efficiently use their maintenance resources. The participants will understand basic process development\, planning and scheduling concepts and have the tools they need to work within their organization to improve the way they manage maintenance work. \nThe CMRP training course includes an e-book entitled “Maintenance and Reliability Certification Exam Guide”\, published by Industrial Press\, Inc.\, which will be given to the participants to help them appreciate the principles presented in the course. \nThis CMRP training course shall provide adequate knowledge and skill for the participants to develop a strategy for outstanding maintenance and reliability performance\, tools to improve reliability at equipment level and an insight to the latest practices in planning\, scheduling and control. This course shall provide maintenance and an in-depth overview of the five pillars of the SMRP Body of Knowledge\, along with the award-winning UK Model of Excellence for Maintenance. \nWho Should Attend\nThis course covers systematic techniques in maintenance and reliability management to assist maintenance management personnel responsible for delivering maximum reliability and availability of equipment at the lowest possible cost. The course will present techniques designed to improve the effectiveness of maintenance management activities\, to ensure that physical assets perform their required functions\, operate reliably\, and support corporate goals. It is essential for all maintenance and reliability management staff including reliability and mechanical engineers who are directly responsible for the equipment reliability and maintenance. The course is ideal for those experienced maintenance and reliability professionals who are seeking an international professional certification. \nKey Learning Objectives\n\nGet prepared for the next CMRP exam and have enough knowledge and skills to pass such exam in order to get the CMRP certification from SMRP\nCreate strategic direction and plan for maintenance and reliability operations\, SUMMARY:Subsurface Characterization\, Screening and Site Selection for Geologic CO2 Storage Sites
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a key means of mitigating climate change and is the only option currently available to decarbonize industries such as cement\, steel\, petrochemicals and LNG. As opportunities in oil and gas decline\, they are growing in CCS. Human activities now generate about 35Gt of CO2 (1 gigatonne=1 billion tonnes) per year. At ~$50/ton for sequestration\, the potential opportunity is enormous\, both in new business revenue and in repurposing old assets and delaying decommissioning costs. Mitigation of the worst effects of climate change will require storing billions of tons per year\, with an industry to match. In the US alone\, the National Petroleum Council estimates that CCS could employ ~230\,000 people\, similar to the current oil industry. \nThis subsurface characterization CCUS training course empowers attendees to develop and apply their skills to the growing industry of Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage. Attendees will be guided through the subsurface characterization and risk assessment of a storage site. Focus will be on the geologic needs for site definition\, screening and development. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend\nThis subsurface characterization CCUS training course is aimed at subsurface oil and gas professionals and first-level leaders who would like to develop their skills for the emerging industry of carbon capture and geologic storage (CCUS). It is recommended specifically for: \n\nGeologists\, geophysicists\, reservoir engineers and other technical subsurface O&G professionalsinterested in CCUS\nFirst-level leaders and others tasked with developing and/or assuring geologic storage for CCUS projects\nRecent graduates in petroleum geoscience and reservoir engineering who want to develop skills in CCUS\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nUnderstandIdentify and describe key subsurface parameters\nAssess static and dynamic capacity\nCalculate injectivity and calibrate project requirements\nDiscuss the pros and cons of different storage schemes\nDefine and evaluate potential storage sites\nIdentify and address subsurface risks\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number. SUMMARY:Advanced Maintenance and Reliability Management
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-day in-person maintenance and reliability training course. The effective maintenance management within chemical plants is a critical feature of plant operation\, both in establishing the conditions for safe ongoing operation of the plant after commissioning\, and in supporting the commercial success of the business. Many companies focus on the cost of the maintenance organisation\, rather than on the benefits that they can provide\, and in doing so the real potential for maintenance organisations to make significant contributions to business success are often lost. Ultimately\, and assuming that the commercial department is able to sell the product that is produced\, the contribution of a maintenance organisation can most effectively be measured in terms of its ability to generate sustained improvements with time in the total (fixed and variable) cost per unit volume of production. There are a number of drivers which tend to increase the cost of production; certain types of equipment become unreliable with time\, obsolescence is often an issue\, environmental and safety standards are continuing to tighten\, and so on. \nOf course\, there are many tools and techniques that are available to help. This maintenance and reliability training focuses on techniques such as Risk Based Inspection\, Reliability Centred Maintenance\, and Total Productive Maintenance can all add value if they are used appropriately\, but it is important to remember that the long term aim of plant maintenance is to deliver sustained and continuous reduction in the cost per unit of production\, a point often lost in the mounds of paperwork that can be generated by some of the tools that are provided to help the maintenance engineer in his decision making! It is worth remembering that any debate or decision within the maintenance organisation which does not concern the selection or delivery of maintenance task is unlikely to contribute to improving the overall performance of the business. \nWho Should Attend\n\nAll plant engineers engaged in maintenance\, turnarounds and minor projects\nAll personnel in design\, project management and turnarounds\nPlant financial staff who have to approve projects\nPlant maintenance managers\nProject personnel\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nEnhancing your companies Maintenance and Operations understanding\nComprehensive understanding of techniques plus best in class approach\nCreate awareness of successful maintenance scheduling\nBetter understanding of failure mechanism and impact\nDevelop a clearer understanding of roles and responsibilities\nTo make plant engineers aware of the importance of overall equipment availability at the least cost\nTo manage the organizational changes required to maximize the contribution and generate sustained improvements\nTo teach financial principles to enable engineers to arrive at the least cost options in solving a technical problem\nTo enable project engineers to justify higher initial cost where lower overall life cycle cost and higher reliability result\nTo make all participants aware of the time value of money and the Cost of Non Compliance (PONC)\nUnderstanding of operational excellence practices\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n SUMMARY:Commercial Contracts for Non-Lawyers
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nModern business is increasingly complex and so too are the challenges associated with commercial contracting. Quite often\, individuals find themselves in a position where they are uncertain as to what the strange legalistic language is actually saying and what this then means from an interpretive perspective. Knowledge of contractual provisions is a key advantage when engaged within commercial negotiations. \nThe delivery medium will be open discussion throughout the commercial contract training and exercises designed to familiarize the delegates with key aspects of commercial law and its applicability to international contracts. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend\n\nNon-lawyer executives wishing to increase their understanding of commercial contracts\n Individuals involved with contracts\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nGrasp the underlying rationale for commercial contracting\nUnderstand the concept of liability and indemnity and what they mean to contracts\nBecome familiar with the other key aspects of contracts such as consequential loss; frustration of contract and termination\nBe able to analyse approaches to deal with breach of contract\nBecome familiar with the concept of Force Majeure and understand its workings\nKnow the different methodologies involved within dispute resolution\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number. SUMMARY:TUV PHRA Training: TÜV Rheinland FS Engineer Process Hazard and Risk Analysis
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis TUV PHRA training course focuses on the early lifecycle phases of hazard and risk analysis up to\, and including\, the development of the Safety Requirements Specification (SRS) for process\, oil & gas\, petrochemical and chemical industries according to IEC 61508 / IEC 61511. \nThis 5-day course comprises 4 days of classroom tuition and practical guidance\, for understanding and mastering the application\, of process hazard analysis and associated risk analysis as required for the early lifecycle phases of Edition 2 IEC 61508 & Edition 2 of IEC 61511 for SIS. We also include many fundamental topics that we know you need to understand\, but are not covered in the standards. Practical exercises will be performed throughout the course based on real-life examples. There is a 5-hour competency examination on the last day. \nWho Should Attend\nProcess Engineers\, Instrument Engineers\, Process Safety and Operations personnel who are involved in maintaining the integrity of their processes\, and are more involved in the early lifecycle phases of functional safety management. \nKey Learning Objectives\nThe topics cover the concepts of identifying hazards using tools such as What-If\, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) and HAZard and OPerability (HAZOP). This will be further developed into the analysis of risk and methods of risk reduction to consider the effectiveness of preventative and mitigating layers of protection. The use of preventative safeguarding efficiencies will be introduced for use with the PHA Matrix\, along with the advantages/disadvantages of using the PHA Matrix with different Hazard Analysis methods. \nThe different questioning techniques used by a Hazard study leader to guarantee a systematic study methodology are investigated\, as is the HAZOP flowsheet design\, by considering the use of the HAZOP for specific needs such as LOPA. A LOPA exercise will actually be carried out from the output of the course HAZOP exercise. Consideration of constructing effective nodes will be examined and a better definition will be given to claims of double jeopardy. \nThe TUV PHRA training will introduce participants to the use of Safety Integrity Levels (SIL) and SIL determination using internationally agreed methods for assessing and quantifying process risk and risk reduction requirements. Delegates will be equipped with the knowledge and methods for undertaking various types of qualitative\, semi-quantified and quantitative risk assessments. \nPractical exercises will be carried out for Semi-Quantitative methods such as risk graph and LOPA. The shortfalls of the quicker methods will be investigated to allow the analyst to appreciate the limitations of screening tools. The most popular semi quantified method\, Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA)\, will be explored in depth. \nThe effective use of Event Tree Analysis will be looked at in two different forms (Mitigation ETA and Traditional ETA). The TUV PHRA training will focus on how ETA can be used to qualitatively support the analyst in mapping out the various consequences given various events with safeguard success or failure. Analysts can then select those events which generate consequences of interest for which FTA may be required. \nDelegates will also be taken through the requirements for safety management and the framework of a Safety Management System (SMS) for achieving effective process risk management. Best practice for SMS will be investigated with the use of Bow-ties linking the Hazard and its safeguards to the SMS. An insight into how process safety KPIs can be used to better align engineering and management in the prevention of major accident hazards will be covered. \nPartnership\n\n\n\nTUV Rheinland Singapore was founded in 1989 and has been serving the testing and certification needs of Singapore companies for over 20 years. In 2006\, our electrical lab was expanded to fully cover Household\, IT and audio video equipment testing acd to IEC/EN standards. SUMMARY:Advanced Post Award Contract Management for Energy
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis intensive post award contract 2-day workshop equips project delivery teams with the commercial tools needed to manage complex energy contracts after award. Traditional Oil & Gas projects demand rigid adherence to massive EPC (Engineering\, Procurement\, Construction) frameworks\, strict safety compliance\, and aggressive claims mitigation. Conversely\, Renewable Energy projects feature rapid deployment timelines\, evolving technology risks\, and highly integrated multi-contract structures (split-EPC or multi-lot contracting). \nThis post award contract course bridges both worlds. It gives participants the practical skills to enforce compliance\, manage aggressive variation requests\, track technical performance\, and navigate structural transitions from traditional hydrocarbon projects to clean energy infrastructure. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nProject Managers & Project Engineers\nContract Administrators & Managers\nProcurement & Supply Chain Professionals\nQuantity Surveyors & Cost Engineers\nAsset & O&M Managers\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nDual Contract Mastery: Navigate the operational differences between standard heavy-engineering EPC contracts (commonly used in Oil & Gas) and split/multi-contract packages typical in wind and solar builds.\nRigorous Interface Management: Identify and manage physical\, technical\, and commercial boundary risks where different vendor scopes overlap (e.g.\, wind turbine suppliers vs. civil balance of plant contractors).\nDefensive Change Control: Implement airtight variation management processes to differentiate between valid site-condition claims (like offshore seabed anomalies or unexpected soil conditions) and contractor-driven scope creep.\nAdvanced Delay & Dissection: Analyze schedule impacts using Critical Path Method (CPM) tools to accurately assign liability for concurrent delays\, supply chain disruptions\, and weather standdowns.\nPerformance Architecture: Design and enforce high-utility Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) tailored to energy metrics (e.g.\, asset availability\, production targets\, and safety lag/lead indicators).\nStrategic Dispute & Closeout: Resolve high-value commercial deadlocks without halting field production\, and manage transition gates into the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) lifecycle phase.\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n SUMMARY:Advanced Well Plug and Abandonment
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis is a 3-day classroom plug and abandonment training course. Well Abandonment is commonly the largest cost element of decommissioning and often results in significant cost overrun. However\, adoption of good practices and lessons learnt from the growing portfolio of operations completed to date\, have shown significant improvements in job duration and non-productive time. In addition\, lessons learnt in job design can be used to ensure abandonment barrier quality\, minimizing the risk of future environmental impact and liability for costly remedial well re-entry. \nThe course instructor draws on his extensive exposure to well abandonment design\, planning and execution\, bringing experience from projects in the North Sea\, Gulf of Mexico\, SE Asia\, Australia\, Brazil and South Africa. \nThe plug and abandonment course will include real life examples of good and poor practices to highlight how the specific challenges of abandonment can be confidently managed to give high quality isolation barriers while maintaining cost control. \nWho Should Attend\n\nWell Abandonment engineers engaged in design and operations\n\nEngineering and operational team leaders\n\nOperations supervisors and superintendents\n\nManagers responsible for well abandonment planning and cost control\n\nKey Learning Objectives\nThe principle objective of the course is to equip practitioners with good practices for the management of design\, planning and executing abandonment\, focusing the major and sometimes unique challenges posed by abandoning aged well stock\, whether subsea or on land/platforms. \nDelegates will \n\nAppreciate the drivers behind approaches to well abandonment\n\nUnderstand good practices in both design\, planning and execution\n\nIntroduction to a wide range of techniques including new and emerging technologies and plugging materials\n\nDevelop knowledge of effective cost minimisation strategies\n\nLearn how to identify and manage key data gaps\n\nUnderstand how to address common problems\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n SUMMARY:Decom Cost Training: Managing and Minimising Decommissioning & Abandonment Cost Liabilities
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nDecommissioning Liabilities are clearly an unwanted burden on the Company Balance Sheet\, but it should be appreciated that spending little effort on investigating their true extent carries a significant risk that actual costs will be much higher than necessary. Early investigation of likely costs allows key cost drivers to be identified and action taken to minimise both projected and the actual cost to the short- and long-term benefit of the business. \nBuilt on significant practitioner experience in this area with several majors\, and smaller\, Oil and Gas Operators\, this course will introduce and demonstrate good practices designed to highlight how to manage the uncertainties inherent in decommissioning and abandonment operations. \nThe decom cost training course is designed to provide attendees with the ability to improve the quality of provisioning management with the aim of managing financial planning and reducing actual costs and the likelihood of unexpected cost overruns. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\nThis decom cost training course is designed for: \n\nFinancial Managers who are accountable for financial provisioning for future Decommissioning.\nAsset Managers who are responsible for budgeting of Decommissioning and Abandonment Operations.\nWell Engineers and Team Leaders who are responsible for compiling Cost Estimates.\nGovernment Regulators and Industry Stakeholders who are keen to understand how costs can be predicted and controlled.\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nThis decom cost training course will provide attendees with: \n\nA strategic appreciation of the risks of poor liability estimates.\nTechniques to minimise the impact of increases in liability estimates.\nAn understanding of how to manage and ensure adoption of Good Practises including:\n\nThe various classes and types of estimates\, and when and how to use them.\nThe key elements required to build a comprehensive Basis of Estimate.\nThe ability to build and contrast probabilistic and deterministic estimates.\n\n\nAppreciation of the strategic importance of identifying and managing risk related to decommissioning and abandonment scopes\, including:\nUnderstanding of how to compile a Risk Register and how to use one to manage and minimise cost risk.\n\nCombining these will allow attendees to appreciate the strategic importance of both recognising liabilities at an early stage and of good quality\, early cost estimation\, targeted at driving down future costs and current provisions. \nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n
