SUMMARY:Leadership 4.0: The Rise of the Digital Leader
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nWe are in the midst of what is now being referred to as the fourth industrial revolution. We are witnessing wholesale changes in the way we live\, work\, and relate to one another as technology drives greater connectivity and heightened levels of application. Our sharing economy has steadily grown to the point whereby sector leaders are barely recognizable from those that led before them and in all likelihood nothing like those that will follow them. Managers too need to change and adopt emerging styles to succeed in a world of digital disruption. They need to think\, act and design differently and build a business model of flexibility for tomorrow not the stability of yesterday. \nThey need to be: \n1. Collaborative and socialization orientation \n2. Emotionally intelligent and versed \n3. Agile\, creative thinker and problem solver \n4. Adaptable change driver \n5. Rapid talent deployment to create highly effective yet fluid organisations \n6. Maximize on diversity\, culture and attitudes \n7. Capitalist of data through digitisation and automation \n8. Build a business model of flexibility for tomorrow not the stability of yesterday. \nWho Should Attend\nThis workshop has been designed for professionals working at a managerial level in both private and public bodies alike. They recognise that with the fourth industrial revolution things must change in order for them to remain relevant\, their teams to grow and their organisations to thrive. They recognise the challenges faced by digital disruption are very real and regardless of their job title feel they need to know more and to be able to embrace the opportunities ahead presented by greater impact of digitation. \nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:Cyber Security for Non-Technical Personnel
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nEvery week we read about yet another cyber (or more accurately: information) security breach where thousands of\nsensitive or confidential records have been stolen. According to a recent study into the cost of data breaches\, the average cost of such a breach is US$158 per client/customer record. For health care organizations the cost is a staggering $355\, and many health care organisations have been breached two or more times! Considering the huge number of records stolen\, the total average cost of a data breach presently works out to around US$4 million\, and many organizations\, especially small to medium ones\, don’t survive. It’s estimated up to 60% go out of business. \nBoard and senior management of many organizations don’t have a realistic view of these dangers\, or how vulnerable their organizations are. For example\, 83% of respondents to an information security survey said: “their organization’s valuable assets are covered by video surveillance”. At the same time\, a recent US boardroom study found that “over 91% of high vulnerable board members said they couldn’t read a cybersecurity report and are not prepared to handle a major attack”. \nThis course looks at the business side of information security. It takes delegates through a non-technical journey of\nthe world of hacking\, vulnerabilities\, data breaches\, etc. It highlights the origins of information security and looks at the many and varied ways in which hackers conduct cyber-attacks on vulnerable organizations & individuals. Most importantly it identifies just who are the main perpetrators\, some of whom will surprise. \nDelegates will learn how to set up defences against these attacks using SIEM (Security Information and Event\nManagement) principles\, particularly:\n• How to use risk management in an information security environment;\n• How to set up information security policies for their organization;\n• How to set up an Information Security Strategic Plan;\n• How to set up Security Incident Response Plan & Team. \nThe seminar draws on the instructor’s vast experience in the Information Technology field over the last 40 plus years\, and particularly in area of Information Security over the last fifteen years. The strategies\, tools & techniques outlined during the seminar are based on real-world examples. By the end of the seminar\, delegates will be able to take them back to their organization and begin using them to immediately build their defences against cyber attacks. \nWho Should Attend\n This course is designed for non-technical people who need to understand (or at the very least want to be aware of) the risks and responsibilities of their organisation with respect to information security. In particular\, anyone who is responsible for information security compliance or assurance will benefit from attending. \nAny manager who has responsibility for managing any part of their organisation that handles information\, especially\nsensitive or confidential client information\, should attend this course. In addition\, all IT professionals\, regardless of their job function\, should attend this course to gain a full appreciation of the dangers of weak or inadequate cyber -security\, both from an organizational point of view as well as at an individual level. \nThe following people will particularly benefit from this course:\n• All “C” level executives\n• Chief Information Security Officer\n• Information / Data Security Officers\n• Customer Service Managers\n• Product Managers\n• Project Managers\n• Technical Support / Customer Support Managers\n• Business Development Managers\, especially those in the following industries:\no Banks\no Insurance\no Telecommunications\no Health-related services including Hospitals\, Health care providers\, Health Care insurance\no Oil & Gas\no Logistics & Transportation\no Government Agencies / Ministries \n  \nKey Learning Objectives\n\n• Learn the many and varied types of cyber attacks that can occur in your environment\, both at an organizational level as individually\n• Understand the costs & effects (sometimes disastrous) that cyber attacks can have on your organisation or you\n• Identify where you and your organisation are most vulnerable to cyber attack (you may be surprised) – and how to guard against them\n• Learn how to educate senior management and your board in the importance of good information security – the IT\nGovernance standard\n• Guard against cyber-attacks through good risk management – use the standard!\n• See how to build a strong information security perimeter to guard your most valuable assets – your personal/customer/client information\n• Learn how to think like a hacker and build an effective Information Security Plan\n• Recognise the importance of a good Security Incident Response Plan and learn how to prepare one.\n• Plan an effective defence against a cyber attack – Monitor\, Detect\, Analyse\, Respond\, Resolve & Review \n \nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:Masterclass on Understanding Drilling Contracts
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe ‘Upstream’ or Exploration and Production (E&P) segment of the International Oil and Gas Industry\, is in all probability\, the riskiest in terms of capital intensity\, long payback periods; technological dependence and a host of legal/environmental compliance requirements. It is commonplace for entities seeking hydrocarbon reserves to offset this risk exposure through collective entities such as Joint Ventures. This course has been specifically designed to provide the delegate with a holistic understanding not only of drilling contracts\, but to understand them within the wider context of the larger governing framework of which they are a part in terms of hydrocarbon discovery and extraction. The course is an immersive experience and the focus is on open dialogue throughout and class exercises/problem solving and knowledge sharing. \nWho Should Attend\n\nPeople involved in Contract Management and Administration of Drilling Contract during project execution\nPeople involved in Negotiation of Drilling Contract\n\nJob Titles Include: \n\nContract Lawyers & Attorneys—Rig/Drilling\n\nContract Executives & Managers—Rig/Drilling\n\nContract Negotiators—Rig/Drilling\n\nContract Managers/Administrators\n\nRig Procurement Managers\n\nDrilling Contractor Marketing Personnel\n\nProject\, Operations\, and Rig Managers\n\nAccounting and Operational Personnel\n\nBusiness Unit Heads with responsibility for Rig Selection and Management of Drilling Operations\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nUnderstand some of the key issues that must be incorporated into a statement of requirements when tendering for a drilling contractor\n\nGrasp the basic different forms of drilling contracts\n\nBecome familiar with the key contractual elements of a drilling contract\n\nBe able to discern both the advantages and disadvantages that stem from being involved within a JV\nKnow what a JOA is and what it does\n\nUnderstand what a Joint Operating Committee (JOC) is and what it does\n\nGrasp the essentials of stakeholder management and why this is important to commercial contracts\n\nBecome aware of the differing formats and mechanisms that can be used to resolve disputes\n\nHave awareness of some of the different abandonment securities that exist/are imposed in different jurisdictions\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:Planning and Scheduling Day to Day Maintenance and Turnarounds
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe effective Maintenance management within chemical plants is a critical feature of plant operation\, both in establishing the conditions for safe ongoing operation of the plant after commissioning and in supporting the commercial success of the business. Many companies focus on the cost of the maintenance organisation\, rather than on the benefits that they can provide\, and in so doing the real potential for maintenance organisations to make significant contributions to business success are often lost. Ultimately\, and assuming that the commercial department is able to sell the product that is produced\, the contribution of a maintenance organisation can most effectively be measured in terms of its ability to generate sustained improvements with time in the total (fixed and variable) cost per unit volume of production. \nThere are a number of drivers which tend to increase the cost of production; certain types of equipment become unreliable with time\, obsolescence is often an issue\, environmental and safety standards are continuing to tighten\, and so on. Of course\, there are many tools and techniques that are available to help. Techniques such as Risk-Based Inspection\, Reliability Centred Maintenance\, and Total Productive Maintenance can all add value if they are used appropriately\, but it is important to remember that the long term aim of plant maintenance is to deliver sustained and continuous reduction in the cost per unit of production\, a point often lost in the mounds of paperwork that can be generated by some of the tools that are provided to help the maintenance engineer in his decision making! It is worth remembering that any debate or decision within the maintenance organisation which does not concern the selection or delivery of maintenance task is unlikely to contribute to improving the overall performance of the business. \nWho Should Attend\nThis course takes delegates through the planning and management phase of both maintenance and project management\, based on best practice. The course is especially useful for Engineering and Project managers\, engineers\, planners\, schedulers\, supervisors\, cost engineers\, Safety/Quality engineers and Operations personnel. \nKey Learning Objectives\n• Improve your company’s approach to planning and scheduling\n• Provide a framework for effective turnaround execution\n• Highlight the unique safety requirements of turnarounds\n• Foster the “one team” approach to turnarounds\n• Provide a comprehensive knowledge base for turnarounds \n• Demonstrate the latest planning techniques for turnarounds\n• Highlighting the operational checkout and startup requirements\n• Learn the conditions for acceptance of the plant by plant operations personnel \nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis course will teach you how to evaluate reservoirs and quickly identify flawed results. Robust reserves and simulation are achieved by the logical\, systematic integration of all relevant data. A quality interpretation is extremely cost-effective compared with data acquisition or development mistakes and essential with today’s complex reservoirs and data sets. Proper integration replaces the need to run expensive\, irrelevant logs explains apparent data conflicts and provides the correct answer faster\, strengthening your position as an operator and competent petrophysicst. By contrast\, stand-alone log analysis often results in wrong decisions and weakens your position in the eyes of your business partners and colleagues. \nThis course\, evolved over 25 years of petrophysical consulting and training\, demonstrates how robust answers are achieved by the logical integration of diverse data. Pay and reserves are addressed first by Quick Look Log Analysis and then by a disciplined\, logical process to optimize the interpretation of Porosity\, Saturation\, Permeability and Fluid Contacts – the basis of Reserves. Low Contrast Pay\, clastics and carbonates are evaluated by straight forward integration techniques which outperform log analysis with direct\, plain to see results. The integration of Mudlogs\, LWD\, Wireline\, Facies / Rock Types\, SCAL\, NMR\, Dielectric\, MDTs and Well tests are explained via the author’s 28\,000 core plug PetroDB-WEB software. Finally\, the crucial Petrophysics to Geomodel checks is clearly set out. \nWho Should Attend\nPetrophysicists\, geologists\, operations geologists\, geo-modellers\, reservoir engineers\, geophysicists\, core analysts\nor anyone with a year’s experience with logs or formation evaluation. \nKey Learning Objectives\n\nThe essential nature of petrophysics: objectives\, data and uncertainties.\nTo get the best possible answers from any given data set.\n\nTo perform Quick Look Log Analysis and Essential Core-Log Integration with the author’s Excel spreadsheets.\n\nTo review petrophysical studies effectively and quickly identify flawed results using a clear sequence of logical checks.\n\nTo identify and extract the key data channels from modern hi-tech logs which when integrated with core\, logs and well tests\, will answer the questions your team is asking.\n\nTo identify and properly use what really matters in the increasingly complex barrage of modern petrophysical data.\n\nTo drill\, core\, log and test for clear formation evaluation results.\n\nTo avoid the 10 most common errors which ruin petrophysical results.\n\nTo use interactive software to reveal how your data can work together and impact results. \n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:Managing International EPC Contracts in Global Power Industry
DESCRIPTION:As the International Oil and Gas industry matures; competition has intensified as organisations seek different ways in which to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. One response to this has been to adopt a form of ‘risk transfer’ via outsourcing to make another party the ‘bearer’ of risk –i.e. appointing a contractor company that offers a ‘one-stop shop’ solution – to undertake the whole scope of a project by being the main contractor and subsequently managing the entire range of sub-contractor agreements to ensure that the deliverable in question is met in its entirety for the client/end-user. \nThese types of contract are often referred to as EPC (Engineering; Procurement and Construction contracts)\, whilst another common name for them is ‘Turnkey’ contracts. If the contract can be executed successfully\, the contractor stands to benefit\, whilst if there are problems and delays\, it is the contractor who may find themselves liable for bearing these costs. \nUnfortunately\, given the scale and scope of this species of commercial contract\, there is a great likelihood that most of the ambit of contractual misfortune in terms of breach; delay; quality issues; HSE compliance and local content issues (to name but a few) will manifest at some point during the project’s lifetime. This course will furnish delegates with a thorough understanding of the key components and their interactions of an EPC contract and will address issues relative to dispute resolution. Focus is on open dialogue and collective problem solving relative to case examples and class exercises. This course has been designed to provide an immersive\, value-adding experience to delegates who attend. \nOn completion of the course the participants will: \n\nBecome familiar with the importance of ‘scoping’ an EPC project correctly\nHave awareness of the key features and contractual provisions of an EPC contract\nHave a greater understanding of the dynamic nature of contractual provisions and some of the\nUnderstand how an EPC contract is structured\nGrasp the fundamentally important aspects of managing risk in an EPC contract\nKnow what to focus on for managing the commercial performance of an EPC contract\nBe aware of the vital importance of stakeholder mapping and identification\nUnderstand the importance of project change orders and how to efficiently manage change\nKnow how to structure and lead a high performance project team\nGrasp the importance of effectively managing the project supply chain and inventory functions\nGain relevant knowledge of arbitral proceedings and other dispute resolution methodologies such as mediation\n\nWho Should Attend\n\nContract personnel/managers/administrators\nProcurement departments\nIndividuals involved in managing project inventories\nIndividuals engaged within risk management\nTeam leaders\nAnyone else wanting to learn more about EPC contracts\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nBecome familiar with the importance of ‘scoping’ an EPC project correctly both from the client/end-user perspective and the contractor\nHave awareness of the key features and contractual provisions of an EPC contract\nHave a greater understanding of the dynamic nature of contractual provisions and some of the consequences that arise as a result of them within the commercial world\nUnderstand how an EPC contract is structured\nGrasp the fundamentally important aspects of managing risk in an EPC contract\nBecome familiar with key procurement aspects associated with EPC contracts and projects\nBe competent in supplier selection and evaluation\nKnow what to focus on for managing the commercial performance of an EPC contract\nUnderstand the importance of project change orders and how to efficiently manage change\nBe competent in managing critical interfaces in power projects such as access to grid; fuel specifications and the commissioning regime\nUnderstand the requirements and importance for EPC projects inefficiency of critical (long) lead items and their impacts\, both positive and potentially negative\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA
