SUMMARY:Leadership 4.0: The Rise of the Digital Leader
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nWe are in the midst of what is now being referred to as the fourth industrial revolution. We are witnessing wholesale changes in the way we live\, work\, and relate to one another as technology drives greater connectivity and heightened levels of application. Our sharing economy has steadily grown to the point whereby sector leaders are barely recognizable from those that led before them and in all likelihood nothing like those that will follow them. Managers too need to change and adopt emerging styles to succeed in a world of digital disruption. They need to think\, act and design differently and build a business model of flexibility for tomorrow not the stability of yesterday. \nThey need to be: \n1. Collaborative and socialization orientation \n2. Emotionally intelligent and versed \n3. Agile\, creative thinker and problem solver \n4. Adaptable change driver \n5. Rapid talent deployment to create highly effective yet fluid organisations \n6. Maximize on diversity\, culture and attitudes \n7. Capitalist of data through digitisation and automation \n8. Build a business model of flexibility for tomorrow not the stability of yesterday. \nWho Should Attend\nThis workshop has been designed for professionals working at a managerial level in both private and public bodies alike. They recognise that with the fourth industrial revolution things must change in order for them to remain relevant\, their teams to grow and their organisations to thrive. They recognise the challenges faced by digital disruption are very real and regardless of their job title feel they need to know more and to be able to embrace the opportunities ahead presented by greater impact of digitation. \nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:Integrated Petrophysics for Reservoir Characterisation
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis course will teach you how to evaluate reservoirs and quickly identify flawed results. Robust reserves and simulation are achieved by the logical\, systematic integration of all relevant data. A quality interpretation is extremely cost-effective compared with data acquisition or development mistakes and essential with today’s complex reservoirs and data sets. Proper integration replaces the need to run expensive\, irrelevant logs explains apparent data conflicts and provides the correct answer faster\, strengthening your position as an operator and competent petrophysicst. By contrast\, stand-alone log analysis often results in wrong decisions and weakens your position in the eyes of your business partners and colleagues. \nThis course\, evolved over 25 years of petrophysical consulting and training\, demonstrates how robust answers are achieved by the logical integration of diverse data. Pay and reserves are addressed first by Quick Look Log Analysis and then by a disciplined\, logical process to optimize the interpretation of Porosity\, Saturation\, Permeability and Fluid Contacts – the basis of Reserves. Low Contrast Pay\, clastics and carbonates are evaluated by straight forward integration techniques which outperform log analysis with direct\, plain to see results. The integration of Mudlogs\, LWD\, Wireline\, Facies / Rock Types\, SCAL\, NMR\, Dielectric\, MDTs and Well tests are explained via the author’s 28\,000 core plug PetroDB-WEB software. SUMMARY:Managing International EPC Contracts in Global Power Industry
DESCRIPTION:As the International Oil and Gas industry matures; competition has intensified as organisations seek different ways in which to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. One response to this has been to adopt a form of ‘risk transfer’ via outsourcing to make another party the ‘bearer’ of risk –i.e. appointing a contractor company that offers a ‘one-stop shop’ solution – to undertake the whole scope of a project by being the main contractor and subsequently managing the entire range of sub-contractor agreements to ensure that the deliverable in question is met in its entirety for the client/end-user. \nThese types of contract are often referred to as EPC (Engineering; Procurement and Construction contracts)\, whilst another common name for them is ‘Turnkey’ contracts. If the contract can be executed successfully\, the contractor stands to benefit\, whilst if there are problems and delays\, it is the contractor who may find themselves liable for bearing these costs. \nUnfortunately\, given the scale and scope of this species of commercial contract\, there is a great likelihood that most of the ambit of contractual misfortune in terms of breach; delay; quality issues; HSE compliance and local content issues (to name but a few) will manifest at some point during the project’s lifetime. This course will furnish delegates with a thorough understanding of the key components and their interactions of an EPC contract and will address issues relative to dispute resolution. Focus is on open dialogue and collective problem solving relative to case examples and class exercises. This course has been designed to provide an immersive\, value-adding experience to delegates who attend. \nOn completion of the course the participants will: \n\nBecome familiar with the importance of ‘scoping’ an EPC project correctly\nHave awareness of the key features and contractual provisions of an EPC contract\nHave a greater understanding of the dynamic nature of contractual provisions and some of the\nUnderstand how an EPC contract is structured\nGrasp the fundamentally important aspects of managing risk in an EPC contract\nKnow what to focus on for managing the commercial performance of an EPC contract\nBe aware of the vital importance of stakeholder mapping and identification\nUnderstand the importance of project change orders and how to efficiently manage change\nKnow how to structure and lead a high performance project team\nGrasp the importance of effectively managing the project supply chain and inventory functions\nGain relevant knowledge of arbitral proceedings and other dispute resolution methodologies such as mediation\n\nWho Should Attend\n\nContract personnel/managers/administrators\nProcurement departments\nIndividuals involved in managing project inventories\nIndividuals engaged within risk management\nTeam leaders\nAnyone else wanting to learn more about EPC contracts\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nBecome familiar with the importance of ‘scoping’ an EPC project correctly both from the client/end-user perspective and the contractor\nHave awareness of the key features and contractual provisions of an EPC contract\nHave a greater understanding of the dynamic nature of contractual provisions and some of the consequences that arise as a result of them within the commercial world\nUnderstand how an EPC contract is structured\nGrasp the fundamentally important aspects of managing risk in an EPC contract\nBecome familiar with key procurement aspects associated with EPC contracts and projects\nBe competent in supplier selection and evaluation\nKnow what to focus on for managing the commercial performance of an EPC contract\nUnderstand the importance of project change orders and how to efficiently manage change\nBe competent in managing critical interfaces in power projects such as access to grid; fuel specifications and the commissioning regime\nUnderstand the requirements and importance for EPC projects inefficiency of critical (long) lead items and their impacts\, both positive and potentially negative\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:Advanced Basin Analysis Africa
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThis advanced case-study led course is designed to teach participants a process for rapidly screening frontier basin opportunities with minimal data\, with most case studies from African and Atlantic style rifts and passive margins.\nThree-day modules cover the essentials of basin classification and tectonostratigraphic analysis\, the prediction of petroleum system elements (reservoir\, source rocks and seals) and the presentation of a workflow with which the prospects of a basin can be rapidly assessed. The most recent world’s frontier discoveries are reviewed in their basin context and key elements are recognised that will identify the frontier discoveries of the future. The lectures are interspersed with numerous case studies analysing the regional controls on the main global discoveries of the last decade\, some of which will be run as group discussions and guided exercises. This will expand the participants’ knowledge bank of key analogues that can be used to identify and risk new plays in their own regions of interest. \nWho Should Attend\nGeologists and geophysicists or exploration managers that are involved in the assessment of new exploration opportunities and new country entry\, particularly if working on rifts and or passive margins such as Atlantic margin basins. The course contents are on intermediate/advanced level and basic knowledge of petroleum geology and in particular of petroleum systems is required.\n\nPotential attendees include:\n• Basin Management & Analyst\n• Exploration & Development Department\n• Geologists\n• Geophysicists\n• Geoscientists\n• Petroleum Engineers\n• Reservoir Engineers\n• Drilling Engineers\n• Risk Management\n• Research & Development\n• Project Support & Services \nKey Learning Objectives\n\nParticipants will learn how to rapidly differentiate prospective from non-prospective basins using a series of key tools and techniques\, even in situations where they have limited data and knowledge.\nParticipants will learn how to rapidly compile a number of key diagrams within a workflow that synthesises the key tectonic and other basin-wide controls on prospectivity.\nThey will particularly learn the essentials of working petroleum systems in Africa and in the Central and South Atlantic\nThey will acquire check-lists of the parameters which most frequently cause basins to succeed or fail\, that they will be able to use in data rooms and in the assessment of licence or farming blocks.\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.Name\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n PhoneEmail\n \n CompanyAdditional Comments:CAPTCHA

SUMMARY:The Team Leader and Manager Key Skills Workshop: the toolkit for success
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nA three-day programme designed specifically to allow delegates to explore and understand key tools that will help them in their role of being a manager. As one delegate put it “the course I wish I had years ago when I started managing people”. \nMany people find themselves in the position of a manager without necessarily having had any training to support the new role\, a role which is substantially deferent from their former one. If that sounds like you\, then this short course is perfect as a way to build your tool kit and feel more in control. As you start your journey. SUMMARY:Regional Masterclass On Innovative QC/QA Tools Of Seismic Data Processing Time and Depth Imaging - Kuala Lumpur \, Malaysia
DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe conventional way of conducting seismic data processing QC / QA through qualitative way is no longer effective to take a proper decision for moving from one step to another in the processing workflow. Looking visually on the processing step QC results before and after any processing step and the difference between the input and output\, especially at noise and multiple reductions\, cannot be enough to see if the parameters of the processing algorithm is optimum or not. Signal and primary leak during the noise and multiple eliminations is not always controlled through running qualitative type of QC in seismic data processing. Moreover\, the signal to noise improvement is some sort of trade-off if it increased as it should be or decreased due to processing artefacts as such statics computation if is solving any statics sags or induced wrongly any false structure. Wavelet processing and deconvolution which is really crucial in the QCing and application and its effect on the seismic wavelet stability as an indicator of any seismic data credibility is always not an easy decision to take. Phase of low-frequency bandwidth in the seismic broad bandwidth is always negligible due to looking at the seismic data quaintly form regular way of QCing. Velocity analysis is the most important processing step in time and depth processing is also QCED visually without quantifying if its optimum velocity is being picked or not. \nWe propose an innovative way to implement QC for time and depth seismic processing QC depends on conducting quantitative QCQA workflow in all processing steps from geometry updates till migration and post-migration. \nWho Should Attend\nThis course is aimed toward Geoscientists involved in seismic data processing and interpretation either the seismic service provider side or consultancy in QC QA of seismic processing and oil and gas company side. \nKey Learning Objectives\nParticipants will gain an understanding of seismic data processing latest seismic industry in QC / QA of seismic data processing.
