SUMMARY:Geological Storage of CO2: Pick the Right Reservoir
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nGeological Storage of CO2\, specifically the geological sequestration of CO2\, is increasingly recognized as a key strategy for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in the fight against global warming. In recent years\, the field has seen significant advancements. While many of the underlying technologies draw from oil and gas operations\, important distinctions exist that necessitate adapting the industry’s subsurface expertise to this new application. \nEvery CO2 storage project must answer four fundamental questions: \n\nWhere can CO2 be stored?\nHow much CO2 can be injected?\nCan it be stored safely?\nCan it be stored economically?\n\nThis CO2 geological storage training will explore these questions by leveraging established practices from the oil and gas sector and modifying traditional engineering design principles to meet the unique challenges of CO2 storage. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nGeologist\nReservoir engineer\nPetroleum engineer\nProduction engineer\nCompletion engineer\nBusiness development manager\nAsset manager\nProject manager\nGovernment official\nAny other professional involved or interested in CCS\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nCurrent state-of the-art of research in the field of CCS; screening of CCS projects worldwide\nFundamentals of CCS\, its interdisciplinary connections and the ability to appraise the role of CCS more widely within the energy transition\nAssessing the storage volume capacity by investigating the combined effects of capillary pressure\, salinity\, and in-situ thermodynamic conditions on CO2-brine/reservoir fluid-rock interactions in a saline aquifer or depleted reservoir\nAddressing the potential CO2 leakage paths; mitigating the risk by optimising the injection strategy and well completion\nQuantifying the uncertainty with different realisations to scale geological properties\, major faults\, and their sealing capacity as well as rock compressibility\nMonitoring the geological storage of CO2\, types of monitoring technologies and techniques\, monitoring strategies\, results\, and modelling temporal responses accordingly\nIdentifying the uncertainties affecting the future field behaviour and reduce their impact by optimising the field performance through a systematic application of integrated reservoir management and multidisciplinary technologies\nThe impact of CCS on the energy landscape\, society\, and climate as these topics govern the success of the research that is being carried out to solve one of greatest challenges of our generation\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number.
\nWho Should Attend\n\nGeologist\nReservoir engineer\nPetroleum engineer\nProduction engineer\nCompletion engineer\nBusiness development manager\nAsset manager\nProject manager\nGovernment official\nAny other professional involved or interested in CCS\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nCurrent state-of the-art of research in the field of CCS; SUMMARY:Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR)
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\n\n\n\n\nThis is a CCS EOR training course. Carbon Capture\, Utilization\, and Storage (CCUS) has drawn a global attention to reduce the global warming. The best way to use the captured carbon dioxide is to inject into the depleted oil reservoirs to improve the oil recovery as the CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) technique. They will gain a comprehensive understanding of the various capture technologies\, storage options\, and the potential of CO2 for enhanced oil recovery and other uses. \nParticipants will have a thorough understanding of the technology and concepts of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) and Carbon Capture\, Utilization\, and Storage (CCUS) plus safe geological storage\, storage options\, and the potential use of CO2 for Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).  Large amounts of oil deposits remain unrecovered after application of traditional primary and secondary oil recovery methods. Gas Enhanced Oil Recovery (GEOR) has been proven as an efficient oil recovery technique to recover bypassed oil and residual oil trapped in the reservoir. Different gases\, mixture of gases\, and Water-Alternating-Gas (WAG) are the most common EOR methods used in the oil industry.  These gas EOR methods rely on the injection of different gases to boost oil recovery. \nDifferent gas EOR techniques of carbon dioxide\, Nitrogen\, hydrocarbon gas (HC)\, LPG\, WAG and mixture of gases are presented with actual field cases with industry reservoir simulation.
SUMMARY:Hydrogen and Carbon Capture & Storage Technology Masterclass
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nCarbon capture and storage (CSS) is seen by many as a necessary transition technology whilst the world builds out the renewable energy system. And this is not limited to power generation.\nToday\, more than 95% of the world’s hydrogen is made from fossil fuels (coal and natural gas)\, so CCS can play a significant role in reducing the CO2 emissions related to this production. With the hydrogen sector expected to grow exponentially across the globe in the coming years\, it has become a necessary innovation. \nFor example\, the United Kingdom (UK) recently set a target to produce five gigawatts of hydrogen by 2030\, representing a 40-fold increase from the current situation. This ambition is replicated worldwide where national hydrogen strategies\, often explicitly citing the need for decarbonising industrial sectors such as construction\, steel and cement\, have appeared regularly\nover the past year. \nThe journey to a new\, low-emission energy system will be challenging and require much innovation. This momentum towards netzero continues to build\, calling for many industrial sectors to find ways of decarbonising their operations. Hydrogen is likely to play a significant role\, especially in sectors where eliminating emissions is particularly difficult. Early engagement with those low- or zero-emission projects will enable fast movers to reap the maximum from the opportunity presented. \nThis hydrogen CCS training course aims to provide a practical guide to enable companies to make informed decisions and plans based on the real opportunities that are emerging as the global CCS sector develops. Delegates will be guided to where early opportunities are most likely to lie\, who is involved and how to get in front of them. \nWho Should Attend\n\nExisting energy companies particularly those who are already part of the engineering\, oil and gas\, steel\, construction and shipbuilding oil and gas supply chain and those looking to future-proof their capabilities\nThe CCS clusters who well-placed to drive the regional industries forward\, often including a significant hydrogen\ncomponent\nThose with steelmaking\, shipping\, construction and automotive interests\nCompanies seeking to enter the CCS sector and wider hydrogen value chain with its myriad opportunities in a market\nvalued in the billions of dollars\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nWhat is carbon capture and storage (CSS)?\nCarbon capture by emission sources and fundamental approaches: pre- and post-combustion\, oxyfuel\, and industrial processes\nOverview of current technologies applied (how to remove the CO2 from process streams\, solvents\, amines)\nEvaluation of technologies: techno-commercial (including licensors)\nCost structure\, learning curves: challenges and opportunities\nCCS business models\, CO2 pricing and negative emissions\nCCS projects: overview\, discussion and deep dives into case studies\nH+CCS and other paths in the energy transition\nPolicy and regulatory perspectives: global initiatives and national nuances\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - SUMMARY:Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Project Risks and How to Manage Them
DESCRIPTION:About this Training Course\nGovernments\, regulators\, and commercial parties are increasingly pursuing CO2 storage opportunities as it becomes increasingly clear that CCS is an important contribution to meet the Paris Agreement targets on Climate Change. For a successful CCS project\, various technical\, operational\, economical and environmental risks and associated stakeholders need to be managed. \nThe objective of this training is to create awareness of potential risks and offer a structured approach to assess potential storage sites in terms of their CO2 storage capacity\, injectivity\, containment and monitoring. The training features relevant physical-chemical phenomena (incl. CO2 phase behaviour)\, including plume migration\, well and seal integrity\, geomechanical aspects\, as well as practical exercises. \nWho Should Attend\nAll surface and subsurface engineers\, such as\n– Facility engineers\n– Geologists\, geophysicists\n– Reservoir engineers\n– Petro-physicists\n– Production technologists/engineers\n– Engineers and geomechanical\nspecialists.\n– (Sub)surface team leads\n– Project managers\n– Business opportunity managers\n– Decision executives\n– Technical risk assessment\n– Assurance specialists\nNote: for each class it is highly recommended that a mix of disciplines mentioned above are represented to facilitate\ndiscussions from different perspectives. \nKey Learning Objectives\n\nINTRODUCE different international organisations and their role in CCS deployment\nGAIN insight into legislative requirements and relevant guidelines when developing a CCS project\nUNDERSTAND the approach to risk identification\, assessment and mitigation for CCS projects\nINTRODUCE an approach to assess storage capacity of a reservoir\nUNDERSTAND how to assess the integrity of existing and new wells\nACQUIRE knowledge of the data & methods used to assess potential containment risks\nGAIN experience in developing a decision-based roadmap for CO2 storage projects\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 -
