SUMMARY:Advances in 3D Seismic Interpretation
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis advanced 3D seismic interpretation course provides a deep dive into the practical application of 3D seismic attributes. Participants will develop an intuitive grasp of which geological features are detectable and how acquisition and processing workflows impact attribute sensitivity. We will explore the geological “coupling” of seemingly independent attributes and evaluate modern reservoir characterization workflows used by leading software providers and service companies. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nSeismic interpreters who wish to extract meaningful information from their data\nSeismic processors who want to find out different ways to characterize heavy oil formations.\nStratigraphers and structure geologists who use 3D seismic volumes to prepare detailed reservoir models\nReservoir engineers who want to understand about the seismic input to add detail to 3D reservoir models.\nStudents of geophysics who wish to become qualified interpreters.\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nEnhance subtle faults and folds by utilizing attributes derived from time-structure maps and multiple azimuth-limited seismic volumes.\n\nInterpret spectral anomalies\, thin-bed tuning\, and potential hydrocarbon indicators using spectral decomposition and wavelet transform analyses. \n\n\nOptimize data visualization by applying effective color schemes and combining multiple attributes into single images to improve geological communication. \n\n\nApply appropriate inversion algorithms—including elastic\, sparse-spike\, and geostatistical methods—to integrate earth models and synthetic seismograms for accurate lithologic characterization. \n\n\nAnalyze seismic singularities and amplitude variations with offset and azimuth (AVO/AZ) to delineate detailed stratigraphic and structural features. \n\n\nEvaluate the limitations of data resolution and imaging quality by identifying acquisition footprints and artifacts that constrain attribute analysis. \n\n\nImplement structural filtering and migration algorithms to suppress cross-cutting noise while preserving critical narrow lineaments and fractures. \n\n\nAssess and select optimal algorithms for volumetric calculations and processing parameters to maintain rigorous quality control throughout the seismic interpretation workflow. \n\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n\n \n \n SUMMARY:Subsurface Characterization\, Screening and Site Selection for Geologic CO2 Storage Sites
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCarbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a key means of mitigating climate change and is the only option currently available to decarbonize industries such as cement\, steel\, petrochemicals and LNG. As opportunities in oil and gas decline\, they are growing in CCS. Human activities now generate about 35Gt of CO2 (1 gigatonne=1 billion tonnes) per year. At ~$50/ton for sequestration\, the potential opportunity is enormous\, both in new business revenue and in repurposing old assets and delaying decommissioning costs. Mitigation of the worst effects of climate change will require storing billions of tons per year\, with an industry to match. In the US alone\, the National Petroleum Council estimates that CCS could employ ~230\,000 people\, similar to the current oil industry. \nThis subsurface characterization CCUS training course empowers attendees to develop and apply their skills to the growing industry of Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage. Attendees will be guided through the subsurface characterization and risk assessment of a storage site. Focus will be on the geologic needs for site definition\, screening and development. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWho Should Attend\nThis subsurface characterization CCUS training course is aimed at subsurface oil and gas professionals and first-level leaders who would like to develop their skills for the emerging industry of carbon capture and geologic storage (CCUS). It is recommended specifically for: \n\nGeologists\, geophysicists\, reservoir engineers and other technical subsurface O&G professionalsinterested in CCUS\nFirst-level leaders and others tasked with developing and/or assuring geologic storage for CCUS projects\nRecent graduates in petroleum geoscience and reservoir engineering who want to develop skills in CCUS\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nUnderstandIdentify and describe key subsurface parameters\nAssess static and dynamic capacity\nCalculate injectivity and calibrate project requirements\nDiscuss the pros and cons of different storage schemes\nDefine and evaluate potential storage sites\nIdentify and address subsurface risks\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number.
