SUMMARY:Advances in 3D Seismic Interpretation
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nThis advanced 3D seismic interpretation course provides a deep dive into the practical application of 3D seismic attributes. Participants will develop an intuitive grasp of which geological features are detectable and how acquisition and processing workflows impact attribute sensitivity. We will explore the geological “coupling” of seemingly independent attributes and evaluate modern reservoir characterization workflows used by leading software providers and service companies. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nSeismic interpreters who wish to extract meaningful information from their data\nSeismic processors who want to find out different ways to characterize heavy oil formations.\nStratigraphers and structure geologists who use 3D seismic volumes to prepare detailed reservoir models\nReservoir engineers who want to understand about the seismic input to add detail to 3D reservoir models.\nStudents of geophysics who wish to become qualified interpreters.\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nEnhance subtle faults and folds by utilizing attributes derived from time-structure maps and multiple azimuth-limited seismic volumes.\nInterpret spectral anomalies\, thin-bed tuning\, and potential hydrocarbon indicators using spectral decomposition and wavelet transform analyses.\nOptimize data visualization by applying effective color schemes and combining multiple attributes into single images to improve geological communication.\nApply appropriate inversion algorithms—including elastic\, sparse-spike\, and geostatistical methods—to integrate earth models and synthetic seismograms for accurate lithologic characterization.\nAnalyze seismic singularities and amplitude variations with offset and azimuth (AVO/AZ) to delineate detailed stratigraphic and structural features.\nEvaluate the limitations of data resolution and imaging quality by identifying acquisition footprints and artifacts that constrain attribute analysis.\nImplement structural filtering and migration algorithms to suppress cross-cutting noise while preserving critical narrow lineaments and fractures.\nAssess and select optimal algorithms for volumetric calculations and processing parameters to maintain rigorous quality control throughout the seismic interpretation workflow.\n\nEnquiry Form\n\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n SUMMARY:Quantitative Seismic Interpretation
DESCRIPTION:Why Choose this Training Course\nAt the end of the quantitative seismic interpretation course participants will have a solid foundation in Quantitative Interpretation concepts\, workflows and data requirements. They will be able to model the seismic response of alternative geological scenario’s\, judge the feasibility of a QI project for a dataset in question and be able to avoid the most common pitfalls. And they can better liaise and collaborate with staff in neighbouring Geoscience (sub)disciplines. Whereas the course does not cover training in the hands-on use of common industry software tools for QI or inversion\, it will provide the necessary foundation required for subsequent use of such tools in a professional manner. \nThe quantitative seismic interpretation course uses a mixture of lectures\, practical exercises and case histories. Use of participants laptops for exercises and WIFI internet access in the classroom is recommended. Participants can bring own cases for discussion. \nThe quantitative seismic interpretation course should be customized to meet the specific background and needs of the participants: focus can be more on fundamentals or more on the advanced application. Topics can be tuned to the geological setting in which participants operate\, and focus on those QI techniques that are most likely to be successful there. The course can be extended with extra time for coaching participants on the application of QI techniques in their own work environment. \nWe are also a proud member of the Energy Institute of UK. \nWho Should Attend\n\nGeologists\nGeophysicists\nPetroleum engineers involved in the processing and interpretation of 2D and 3D seismic data.\n\nKey Learning Objectives\n\nGrasp the fundamental principles of seismic wave propagation\, rock and fluid physics\, and their interaction to understand the basis of QI.\nPerform essential data preparation and conditioning\, including log QC\, seismic-to-well calibration\, and wavelet extraction\, to ensure data readiness for QI workflows.\nApply advanced QI techniques such as AvO (Amplitude versus Offset) analysis and acoustic/elastic inversion to derive rock and fluid properties from seismic data.\nIntegrate QI results into seismically constrained reservoir modeling to create more accurate and predictive subsurface models.\nIdentify specific acquisition and processing requirements that are crucial for high-quality data suitable for robust quantitative interpretation.\n\n  \nEnquiry Form\n\n \n \n SalutationMr.Ms.Miss.Mrs.Mdm.Dr.Prof.Capt.-Name*\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Phone*Email*\n \n Company*Current Location* \n \n \n AfghanistanAlbaniaAlgeriaAmerican SamoaAndorraAngolaAnguillaAntarcticaAntigua and BarbudaArgentinaArmeniaArubaAustraliaAustriaAzerbaijanBahamasBahrainBangladeshBarbadosBelarusBelgiumBelizeBeninBermudaBhutanBoliviaBonaire\, Sint Eustatius and SabaBosnia and HerzegovinaBotswanaBouvet IslandBrazilBritish Indian Ocean TerritoryBrunei DarussalamBulgariaBurkina FasoBurundiCambodiaCameroonCanadaCape VerdeCayman IslandsCentral African RepublicChadChileChinaChristmas IslandCocos IslandsColombiaComorosCongoCongo\, Democratic Republic of theCook IslandsCosta RicaCroatiaCubaCuraçaoCyprusCzechiaCôte d'IvoireDenmarkDjiboutiDominicaDominican RepublicEcuadorEgyptEl SalvadorEquatorial GuineaEritreaEstoniaEswatiniEthiopiaFalkland IslandsFaroe IslandsFijiFinlandFranceFrench GuianaFrench PolynesiaFrench Southern TerritoriesGabonGambiaGeorgiaGermanyGhanaGibraltarGreeceGreenlandGrenadaGuadeloupeGuamGuatemalaGuernseyGuineaGuinea-BissauGuyanaHaitiHeard Island and McDonald IslandsHoly SeeHondurasHong KongHungaryIcelandIndiaIndonesiaIranIraqIrelandIsle of ManIsraelItalyJamaicaJapanJerseyJordanKazakhstanKenyaKiribatiKorea\, Democratic People's Republic ofKorea\, Republic ofKuwaitKyrgyzstanLao People's Democratic RepublicLatviaLebanonLesothoLiberiaLibyaLiechtensteinLithuaniaLuxembourgMacaoMadagascarMalawiMalaysiaMaldivesMaliMaltaMarshall IslandsMartiniqueMauritaniaMauritiusMayotteMexicoMicronesiaMoldovaMonacoMongoliaMontenegroMontserratMoroccoMozambiqueMyanmarNamibiaNauruNepalNetherlandsNew CaledoniaNew ZealandNicaraguaNigerNigeriaNiueNorfolk IslandNorth MacedoniaNorthern Mariana IslandsNorwayOmanPakistanPalauPalestine\, State ofPanamaPapua New GuineaParaguayPeruPhilippinesPitcairnPolandPortugalPuerto RicoQatarRomaniaRussian FederationRwandaRéunionSaint BarthélemySaint Helena\, Ascension and Tristan da CunhaSaint Kitts and NevisSaint LuciaSaint MartinSaint Pierre and MiquelonSaint Vincent and the GrenadinesSamoaSan MarinoSao Tome and PrincipeSaudi ArabiaSenegalSerbiaSeychellesSierra LeoneSingaporeSint MaartenSlovakiaSloveniaSolomon IslandsSomaliaSouth AfricaSouth Georgia and the South Sandwich IslandsSouth SudanSpainSri LankaSudanSurinameSvalbard and Jan MayenSwedenSwitzerlandSyria Arab RepublicTaiwanTajikistanTanzania\, the United Republic ofThailandTimor-LesteTogoTokelauTongaTrinidad and TobagoTunisiaTurkmenistanTurks and Caicos IslandsTuvaluTürkiyeUS Minor Outlying IslandsUgandaUkraineUnited Arab EmiratesUnited KingdomUnited StatesUruguayUzbekistanVanuatuVenezuelaViet NamVirgin Islands\, BritishVirgin Islands\, U.S.Wallis and FutunaWestern SaharaYemenZambiaZimbabweÅland Islands\n Country\n \n \n How many people are you looking at?1 - 2 Standard Rates3 - 5 Group Discount>10 In-House Training\, Huge Savings!Undecided\, need more informationThis is just an approximate number.
